Katie Leigh and the Infantry

We are so excited to announce that after a year of planning, writing, editing, rewriting (which is kind of the same thing as editing), scratch tracking, and collaborating, we are ready to record. 

The project will be done with Producer/Songwriter/Picker/Scientist Aaron Bowen. We met him a couple of years ago, while he was hosting an event that featured San Diego music, art, and crafts. He stood with arms crossed and stared at us like a child who sees Santa take off his beard? It was a little bit uncomfortable, yes, but we knew he was our man. Aaron has had years of experience writing his own music. We are huge fans and we were incredibly excited when he not only agreed to work with us, but that he was excited, too! 

So, we have 12 songs at the moment (we were only planning 11, but the last one kind of wrote itself) and hope to have everything recorded and ready to release by the end of September, 2013!! (more info on the songs coming soon!)

Tonight we are going to start by recording scratch tracks for our upcoming album!!

We will be launching a Kickstarter campaign ASAP and cannot wait to see this come to fruition. We are full of joy and hope as we take this big step in the right direction. So you have found our website. I am wondering how you did that! Did you see/hear us at a show? Did you randomly search for things related to the infantry? If you were looking for something related to the military, I'm sorry to say this is not the place. BUT this might be a place you enjoy! We have music posted and keep you updated on shows. We are very excited about this year. We have some new music in the works and working on continuing to share what we love to do with as many people as possible. I hope you take some time to listen to our music and even come out to a show! 2012 is going to be a wonderful year and we would love for you to be a part of our musical experience. 

Well hello there! We have been working hard on getting the business side of the band under control. We've updated our bio and are working to book more shows locally. We are also working on putting together a tour for 2012. If you haven't checked us out before, welcome! We look forward to playing and recording more and to meeting the people that allow us to play shows. We'd love to see you at a show or hear from you if you aren't in the San Diego area.
